Pigmented re protection coating system for wood
For interior and protected outdoor use

Renitherm® PMW (P) is an intumescent coating on synthetic resin dispersion base

which forms a carbon char under the effect of heat, thus insulating the substrate

 

Renitherm® PMW (P) fire protection coating for wood insulates against heat,

check the fire, prevents propagation of fire, and diminishes flue-gas density and

flue-gas temperature, protects real values for and reduces the risk of damage

 

Renitherm® PMW (P) fire protection coating for wood has been tested to BS 476: 7.

Classified solid wood and wooden materials as hardly combustible B1.

Uses

  • for substrates without sufficient bonding of Renitherm® PMW basecoat, as saturation of  high absorbent surfaces, as an improvement of adhesion of the fire

  • retardant coating on sleek surfaces

  • transparent polymer, fast drying

  • application by brushing, rolling, spraying temperature during application and

  • drying time >5 °C

  • notice dew point

  • sanding of the wooden surface

  • stir well before applying

  • no thinning

  • tip size : airless : 0.013“ / air: 1.2 mm

  • coverage rate : 60–100 g/m2
